What are the expectations of a general member?

General Members are expected to meet the following attendance requirements:

  • 2 Social Events

  • 1 Guest Speaker Event

  • 1 Fundraiser

  • Do not miss out 2 general meetings

  • Attend & participate in case competition. Including team meetings

  • $40 Membership Dues

How much time do i have to commit to the club?

General members usually are expected to commit 2-3 hours each week. This includes the weekly general meeting, case competition team meets and a club event. The hourly commitment usually increases as case competition approaches.

WHAT DO WE USUALLY LOOK FOR IN APPLICANTS?

There is no set criteria as we receive applications from different perspectives and backgrounds. However, we tend to prefer applicants who take initiative to get involved in the club through recruitment events, display a strong curiosity for the world of business and exemplify our three pillars of community, discovery and professionalism.

what are potential opportunities to get further involved?

We offer members the opportunity to join committees under our board of directors. Applications for committees may be announced at the start of every quarter. Within those committees, we offer opportunities for general members to provide input into various aspects of operations such as marketing or event planning.

WHAT IF I do NOT MEET THE QUARTERLY MEMBER REQUIREMENTS?

If quarterly member requirements are not met then the member will be marked as “inactive” and will have to redo the application process marked as an “inactive member”. We encourage current members to meet quarterly requirements but we understand that circumstances change.
