Aashritha Javvaji
Class of 2025

Hello!! My name is Aashritha Javvaji. I am a 3rd year majoring in Managerial Economics with a minor in Technology Management. I joined EBSA my freshman year of fall quarter 2021. EBSA attracted my interest because I wanted to be in a business club and want to have professional experience, especially my career interests: consulting, marketing, and project management.

Throughout my time at EBSA, I have grown professionally when I was Marketing Director for my Marketing Committee as well as Case Competition Mentor because I made a lot of professional networks and improved my leadership skills through those experiences.

Besides professionalism, I also made great memories with EBSA club members, especially at board bonding trips and activities. One of my favorite memories in EBSA is potluck because I had a lot of  fun when we made food together and had a great time with everyone.

In the future, I want to work at a consulting firm and hopefully I get a full-time offer at my internship. I also want to move to New York or Chicago to find more job opportunities. Down the lane, I want to either make a partner or start my own consulting firm.

I have been in EBSA for 6 quarters now, and I think EBSA is a great club for people to find connections and grow professionally. EBSA will help you experience a variety of business fields, so it’s good to join earlier in your college career.

Philip Ma
Class of 2025

Hello everyone, I'm Philip Ma, a junior international student from China studying Managerial Economics at UCD. My career interests encompass a wide range of areas, including investment banking, marketing, and data analysis. During my leisure time, I enjoy watching movies and playing video games, Valorant and League are my favorites. If you happen to share any of these hobbies, please don't hesitate to get in touch anytime!

I joined EBSA with the goal of expanding my social network and enhancing my overall skills. In our case competitions, collaborative research with team members demands effective communication. Initially, as an international student whose native language isn't English, I faced challenges in this regard. However, EBSA has provided numerous opportunities for me to engage with others, helping me adapt and improve my communication skills. Besides, excelling in these competitions necessitates the ability to work closely with your team members, providing the opportunity to collaborate with exceptional individuals. The development of communication and teamwork skills is paramount for our future endeavors.

If you were to ask me what is the most valuable thing I've gained from EBSA, then challenge it is. Over time, all these challenges have helped me grow as a better individual. Once I graduate, my aim is to leverage the skills I've gained at EBSA and in university to land a job that genuinely excites me.

EBSA is a perfect platform that offers a wide array of opportunities. Within EBSA's embrace, you can access not only valuable professional knowledge and the refinement of essential soft skills but also cultivate meaningful friendships and connections. EBSA serves as a perfect platform for you to develop opportunities to engage in collaborative teamwork endeavors, and the chance to assume leadership roles within teams. No matter what your major is, EBSA's doors stand wide open.

Krystal Medina

Class of 2025

Hey, I'm Krystal Medina, a third-year student majoring in Managerial Economics and minoring in Accounting and Technology Management. I'm interested in a career in Finance. I became a part of EBSA because my friend Shuchi encouraged me to join, and I'm glad I did. EBSA feels like a close-knit community where everyone is involved.

Unlike regular classes that don't focus much on teamwork, EBSA provided me with valuable experience in group work, which is important in real business life. My favorite memory with EBSA was during a trip to Tahoe. I was new and didn't know anyone, but the trip helped me form great relationships within the club.

I have an internship lined up for next summer with a finance focus. While I already have an offer, I'm exploring other options to make the best choice. After that, I plan to head to New York. EBSA has been a significant part of my learning journey, and I highly recommend giving it a shot for at least one quarter. It's a fantastic experience, and you won't regret it.
